Tattooing
Sterilization and Sanitation
We are consumed by proper sterilization and sanitation practices at Altar Ink. We adhere to proper protocols always.
Most of our supplies during your tattoo is single use and disposable, meaning they are sterilized and completely new. This includes things such as needles, lap cloths, gloves, paper towels, glides, etc. We use these products on you, and dispose of them immediately.
All inks are used in a way that makes them single use. When our artists set up, they pour their inks in a brand new disposable ink cap. The ink cap is discarded at the end of your session, never to be used again.
Reusable equipment, such as machines, power packs, etc. are cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected before and after every use. This inures no cross contamination between our clients. Though these items never come in direct contact with skin, ink, or blood, we use a powerful surface disinfectant to clean them multiple times a day
We ensure that all surfaces are clean and disinfected with a high-power disinfectant between each tattoo. Each surface is also disinfected and fully wrapped with non porous materials before every use.

Sterilization and sanitation
Cleanliness is our top priority when it comes to performing excellent piercings. We adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and infectious control.
Most materials and equipment involved in the piercing process is single use and disposable. That means it was brand new, never used and sterilized. It is disposed of in a Sharps container immediately after your piercing. This includes piercing needles.
Our tools used are always first disinfected using a high-quality disinfectant, processed through an ultrasonic-cleaner, placed in a sterilization pouch and processed in a steam autoclave sterilizer. These sterilizers are the same ones used in hospitals and other medical offices to sterilize equipment.
We also disinfect, clean, and wrap all work surfaces between every client. We take every precaution to ensure that your piercing is done in the cleanest and safest environment possible.
